Law Enforcement
Find the network responsible for an IP address.
Our role
Cloud Innovation holds and registers IP address ranges and makes them available to network operators. We do not operate the networks, servers or services using those addresses.
We do not handle or see their traffic, have access to their servers, or hold connection logs, user information or content. We cannot identify who used an IP address at a particular time.
Contact the operating network
The network announcing, or routing, an IP address is identified by its origin ASN (Autonomous System Number). Traffic, users and logs are handled by that network's operator and its customers.
All we can tell you is which network is using the address, based on public routing information. Looking it up directly is faster than asking us.
Please do not send us requests for traffic, logs or user information. We do not have those records and cannot forward requests on your behalf.
Find the network in four steps
The IP addresses and ASNs below are reserved for examples, not real networks.
Look up the IP address
Enter the IP in bgp.he.net, RIPEstat or bgp.tools. Find the announced address prefix and its origin AS.
Example: a result pairs
192.0.2.0/24with originAS64500for the address192.0.2.25.Find that ASN's contact
Search the ASN in its regional registry's WHOIS or RDAP service: AFRINIC, ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC or LACNIC. You can also check PeeringDB. Look for an abuse or law-enforcement contact, including
abuse-mailbox,abuse-corOrgAbuseEmail.Example: for
AS64500, follow itsabuse-creference to the contact record'sabuse-mailbox.Send your request to that network
Include the IP, exact date and time with a time zone (preferably UTC), and the port number if available. Where formal legal process is required, follow the process in the operator's jurisdiction.
Example:
192.0.2.25,30 October 2026, 09:15:30 UTC, source port44321.For a past incident, check the history
Routes change. Before sending a request about an earlier incident, use RIPEstat's Routing History or BGPlay to find the ASN announcing the prefix at the time.
Example: check
192.0.2.0/24at09:15:30 UTC on 30 October 2026. If it was announced byAS64500then, look up that ASN rather than today's origin.
Questions about registration records?
For questions about the IP address range's registration record itself, use our existing Contact channel for registration enquiries.
Contact form
Cloud Innovation does not hold traffic, connection logs or user data. Requests for those records can only be answered by the network that announces the address.
This form is for questions about IP address registration records only.
